The Mechanical Gate is an economical and practical retail gate built for environments where clear customer guidance and cost-effective access management matter. As a security gate for retail stores, it directs customer flow at entrance points, supports disabled and trolley access, and integrates seamlessly into wider retail security installations alongside tripod turnstiles and other products.
The return mechanism relies on a coil spring located at the top of the upright column. The floor-mounted version supports right, left, and bi-directional opening. The wall-mounted version supports right and left opening.
A fully mechanical anti-panic mechanism allows arm opening in the reverse direction of the pre-set transit direction. Applying sufficient force disengages the swing gate and creates a free passage in both directions.

Retail security gates do not have to be expensive or complicated. The Mechanical Gate provides a physical entrance barrier that guides customers and supports a clear one-way flow, all without requiring a power supply. The mirror-polished chrome plated steel construction gives the unit a clean finish suited to modern retail interiors. At 10 kg, it is robust yet manageable, and the IP 31 rating confirms its suitability for standard indoor environments.
The Mechanical Gate addresses emergency egress through a fully mechanical anti-panic mechanism. When a person pushes the arm with sufficient force in the reverse direction, the gate disengages and opens freely in both directions. It also serves as an accessible passage point for wheelchair users and shopping carts, filling a role that standard tripod turnstiles cannot.
The gate fits floor-mounted and wall-mounted configurations. The floor-mounted version supports right, left, and bi-directional opening; the wall-mounted version supports right and left. Sign plates for Entry, No Entry, and Emergency Exit are available as accessories.
